Section-A Marks : 20

1(a) What is a cascade Amplifier ? Explain.
(b) Enumerate four differential amplifier configurations.
(c) List four basic building blocks of an opamp.
(d) What are the characteristics of an ideal opamp?
(e) What is a voltage transfer curve of an opamp?
(f) What is feedback? List two types of feedback.
(g) Explain why negative feedback is desired in Amplifiers?
(h) Define input offset voltage and explain why it exists in all opamp.
(i) Define thermal drift and how does it affect the opamp.
(j) Differentiate between Clippers and Clampers.

Section-B Marks:5 Each

2. Define a Filter. How are the filters classified and what are advantages of active filters over passive filters?
3. Draw and explain the circuit of 555 as Monostable multivibrator.
