Here is the latest Accenture campus placement test paper held on 23rd february 2008 at Kolkata.
The accenture campus placement paper was held at Techno India College of Technology.

Accenture Placement Paper rounds:
There were 4 rounds:
1) Aptitude Test with Essay writing part
2) Group Discussion or GD Round
3) Technical cum HR Interview
4) HR Technical second Interview

First is the accenture aptitude questions part: multiple choice type questions
1) Aptitude test:
There were total 55 questions and the time allowed was 60 minutes. You also have to write an essay in the same sheet in 10 minutes.
There is no sectional cutoff nor any negative marking.

You must attempt all questions as they are not difficult. RS Aggarwal verbal, non verbal and quantitative are good.

The Aptitude test paper is divided into 3 sections:
1st section consists of 20 questions which are completely based on english language
Questions 1 - 10 : These are very easy and based on prepositions, fill in the blanks with correct articles and some other easier english part questions

Questions 11 - 20 :
questions 11 - 15 contains one comprehension followed by another comprehension from question 16 - 20. These are easy but sometimes these take more time for you.

2nd section : consists of 20 questions which is based on quantitative as well as verbal and non-verbal problems. See the accenture sample multiple choice questions here and in other IT placement test papers.
It contains questions from data sufficiency, venn diagrams, time and work, percentage, time and distance, directions, blood relations and the most important topic LOGIC (syllogism) which is the first chapter of the second part of R.S.AGGARWAL (verbal & non-verbal)

3rd section : There are 15 questions some of them puzzle type questions.
Questions are like :
Q.41- Q.45 Mark the answers according to the following:
A- If all the three options match
B- If FIRST and SECOND options match
C- If FIRST and THIRD options match
D- If none of the three match

Q.46-Q.49 were based on the Puzzle-type question. It said:
Following was the criteria decided by the selection committee of Indian Cricket Board:
1) Player's age should be 18-28 years
2) He must be the captain of any cricket team for at least 2 years
3) He must be a Ranji Player for at least 2 years
4) He must have taken at least 20 wickets or made 1000 runs in a calendar year in Ranji

If 1st condition is not fulfilled .. referred to chairman
If 2nd condition is not fulfilled .. he must be an all rounder with at least 500 runs and 15 wickets
If 4th condition is not fulfilled .. referred to VP

Questions were like following example:
Rahul was born on Dec.10,1979 and is a captain of Ranji team since Feb 2005. He won man of the tournament last year for taking 24 wickets last year. He is:
a) Selected b) Rejected c) Referred to Chairman d)Data Insufficient

(These questions are also easy if you draw a table with names of the aspirant in rows and criteria in the columns, and then checking whether he/she fulfils it or not)

Q.50- Q.55 were also a bit easy and were of two types:
Example of type 1:
If * means +, + means -, - means / and / means *, then what is the value of-
8+4-9*7/12+3

Example of type 2:
If * means /, / means -, - means + and + means *, then which of the following is true:
a) 7+43*2/13-7+8 = 22.6 b) 4-9*7/4*2/3-7+2 = 25 .. ..

(The type 1 are easier and less time consuming and type 2 are more time consuming but still can be solved. 3 of the questions were of type1 and other 3 of type two)..

HR Questions were like:
Tell me about yourself which is not there in the CV.
What do you do in your leisure time?
How can you prove that you have managerial skills

First of all he asked me to introduce myself.
What do you do in your leisure time?
Favorite subjects?
Gave a program and asked questions like will it run or not, etc
Gave 20 seconds and asked me "sell yourself" Prepare for it.

Total 899 students appeared for the accenture campus recruitment or placement test.
266 candidates cleared the aptitude out of which 115 cleared the GD. Finally 41 were selected after the tech and hr interviews. ACCENTURE PAPER ON 23rd FEBRUARY AT KOLKATA

Let me tell you important things to be prepared for the latest february 23rd 2008 Accenture placement paper.

It has 4 rounds:
1) Aptitude Test along with essay writing
2) GROUP DISCUSSION
3) TECHNICAL / HR Interview
4) HR / TECHNICAL INTERVEW.

1)APTITUDE TEST:
Questions = 55 ; Time limit provided is 60 minutes. Along with that an essay to write in the same sheet in another 10 minutes.
There is no sectional cut off , no negative marking.

The question paper is easy. Just RS Aggarwal is sufficient for the paper.

The Aptitude test paper is divided into 3 sections:
1st section : It consists of 20 questions which are completely based on english language.

Questions 11 - 20 :

Do not read the whole paragraph. Just do skimming. (Study the reading techniques. You did it in Communication skills subject in B.tech any engineering brach)

2nd section : It consists of 20 questions which is based on quantitative questions as well as verbal and non verbal questions.
It contains questions from data sufficiency,venn diagrams ,time and work,percentage,time and distance, directions,blood relations and the most important topic LOGIC (syllogism) which is the first chapter of the second part of R.S.AGGARWAL (verbal & non-verbal

3rd section : It consists of 15 questions which is very easy, only the placement paper's puzzle questions are a bit difficult. But these are just like other placement paper puzzles questions. You can see solved Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture puzzle questions.

Q.41- Q.45 Mark the answers according to the following:
A- If all the three options match
B- If FIRST and SECOND options match
C- If FIRST and THIRD options match
D- If none of the three match

Q.46-Q.49 were based on the Puzzle-type question

For accenture emphasize more on verbal and non verbal rather than quantitative.

3) LOGIACL VENN DIAGRAM.
4) DIRECTION SENSE TEST.
5) BLOOD RELATIONS.

QUANTITATIVE Ability Questions topics for Placement Papers:
1) TIME AND WORK.
2) TIME AND DISTANCE.
3) RATIO AND PROPORTION.
4) PERCENTAGE.
5) PROBLEMS ON TRAINS.
6) BOATS AND STREAMS.
7) PIPES AND CISTERNS.
8) PROFIT AND LOSS.

I think about 70% are from verbal & non verbal and 30% are from quantitative in comparision to these two.

After the completion of 60 minutes we were asked to write an essay in 10 minutes time and word limit was atleast 100 words and the topic was "US recession and its impact in the IT industry" There is nothing to worry about this essay. Just have few key points and it should be grammatically correct. It is rarely checked by the HR during the HR interview.

2) ACCENTURE GROUP DISCUSSION :
The topic was "liberalisation" Time limit was 10 minutes. 5 out of 12 were selected. They try to give time to everyone to speak clockwise. The group discussion round as discussed in other accenture placement papers here is not much difficult.

3) ACCENTURE HR INTERVIEW :
Questions were like: Tell me about yourself. What do you do in your leisure time. How can you prove that you have managerial skills. You have to be confident during your interview, have a smile on your face, maintain your eye contact with the HR. HR interview guide for you is here.

4) TECHNICAL INTERVIEW :
What are your favourite subjects. Gave me a program and asked whether this program will run or not. Then he told me that i am giving you 16 seconds. You have to sell yourself. ( How to sell urself: you have to be innovative in that. You cant repeat other persons's answer. You should show your confidence in yourself with good communication skills, Any reason which shows your appeal may be strengths, Your teamwork ability, Consistent work, etc.) Good self confidence and communication skills coupled with your skills are what you should tell when such a question is asked. Then he gave situation reaction test.

In situation reaction test they just want to see how good you are as a leader as well as a team member and how hard working , determined and confident you are.

Statistics: 899 total students appeared, 266 - aptitude round, 115 gd round, 41 shortlisted after technical , hr round. I am one of them.

SECTION 2: (Mathematics Placement Paper Questions) (Q21-Q30)

Aptitude section of the placement paper is not difficult. Just study thoroughly the rs aggarwal solved problems like verbal, non verbal, reasoning, english language, mathematics questions, etc.

GROUP DISCUSSION:
It was believed that group discussion or gd round is the toughest of all the rounds but i was not much tough really. The interviewers were nice guys. The topic for the group discussion was Reservation. Yes, reservation should be there but not on the basis of religion or caste, it must be on the basis of economic condition. Just dont be too much aggressive. Be cooperative and show team work ability. Good communication skills are important of course.

Chinese imports are killing indian industry. Indian companies should stop opening training centres for english, IT, software in china. We should never teach our competitors. CHINA will never do this! In fact they are our rivals, they claim our land and organise infiltrations sometimes as shown on TV. So i am totally against any assistance or preference provided by india to china.

The written exam was very easy .go through only 2-3 previous papers and that will be sufficient ,Paper will be easy but cut off will be high around 44/50 ,but seriously the paper will be so easy that one can even sit idle for some time ,like i did. U will have to write a letter on a given topic as well, mine was Three Priorities if i become the P.M of India. Next Round will be the main elimination round, from my group 4 got through the GD out of 11,Key to clear it Good communication skills, does not mean very good vocabulary Around 2 worth points on the topic Allow others to participate as well ,2 valid points from one candidate will be good enough Dont worry if u do not get an oppurtunity to start or conclude My topic Was ----; Professional VS personal lifeWell then if you get through u will face Technical,
It depends the way u start , a good start means a lot .My technical Interview went for hardly 5 min. But for some it was for 20-30 min HR Interview will not be that easy and for sure not a formality, so be prepared for that .Puzzles wont be there, the madam who took my interview tried a lot to break me down , i mean tried to make me bit nervous but the only thing ids You need to be confident.. And certainly you will make through
