Accenture Placement Paper on 23rd Feb 2008 at Kolkata

Here is the latest Accenture campus placement test paper held on 23rd february 2008 at Kolkata.
The accenture campus placement paper was held at Techno India College of Technology.

Accenture Placement Paper rounds:
There were 4 rounds:
1) Aptitude Test with Essay writing part
2) Group Discussion or GD Round
3) Technical cum HR Interview
4) HR Technical second Interview

First is the accenture aptitude questions part: multiple choice type questions
1) Aptitude test:
There were total 55 questions and the time allowed was 60 minutes. You also have to write an essay in the same sheet in 10 minutes.
There is no sectional cutoff nor any negative marking.

You must attempt all questions as they are not difficult. RS Aggarwal verbal, non verbal and quantitative are good.

The Aptitude test paper is divided into 3 sections:
1st section consists of 20 questions which are completely based on english language
Questions 1 - 10 : These are very easy and based on prepositions, fill in the blanks with correct articles and some other easier english part questions

Questions 11 - 20 :
questions 11 - 15 contains one comprehension followed by another comprehension from question 16 - 20. These are easy but sometimes these take more time for you.

2nd section : consists of 20 questions which is based on quantitative as well as verbal and non-verbal problems. See the accenture sample multiple choice questions here and in other IT placement test papers.
It contains questions from data sufficiency, venn diagrams, time and work, percentage, time and distance, directions, blood relations and the most important topic LOGIC (syllogism) which is the first chapter of the second part of R.S.AGGARWAL (verbal & non-verbal)

3rd section : There are 15 questions some of them puzzle type questions.
Questions are like :
Q.41- Q.45 Mark the answers according to the following:
A- If all the three options match
B- If FIRST and SECOND options match
C- If FIRST and THIRD options match
D- If none of the three match

Q.46-Q.49 were based on the Puzzle-type question. It said:
Following was the criteria decided by the selection committee of Indian Cricket Board:
1) Player's age should be 18-28 years
2) He must be the captain of any cricket team for at least 2 years
3) He must be a Ranji Player for at least 2 years
4) He must have taken at least 20 wickets or made 1000 runs in a calendar year in Ranji

If 1st condition is not fulfilled .. referred to chairman
If 2nd condition is not fulfilled .. he must be an all rounder with at least 500 runs and 15 wickets
If 4th condition is not fulfilled .. referred to VP

Questions were like following example:
Rahul was born on Dec.10,1979 and is a captain of Ranji team since Feb 2005. He won man of the tournament last year for taking 24 wickets last year. He is:
a) Selected b) Rejected c) Referred to Chairman d)Data Insufficient
Ans: a
(These questions are also easy if you draw a table with names of the aspirant in rows and criteria in the columns, and then checking whether he/she fulfils it or not)

Q.50- Q.55 were also a bit easy and were of two types:
Example of type 1:
If * means +, + means -, - means / and / means *, then what is the value of-
8+4-9*7/12+3

Example of type 2:
If * means /, / means -, - means + and + means *, then which of the following is true:
a) 7+43*2/13-7+8 = 22.6 b) 4-9*7/4*2/3-7+2 = 25 .. ..

(The type 1 are easier and less time consuming and type 2 are more time consuming but still can be solved. 3 of the questions were of type1 and other 3 of type two)..

Important questions and topics from the Quantitative part:
1) Time and work

4) Percentage
5) Problems on Trains
6) Boats and Streams
7) Pipes and Cisterns
8) Profit and Loss math questions

About 70% questions are from verbal and non verbal & the remaining 30% are from quanti part.

After 60 minutes we were asked to write an essay in 10 minutes time of atleast 100 words

2) Group Discussion:

3) Accenture HR Interview:
HR Questions were like:
Tell me about yourself which is not there in the CV.
What do you do in your leisure time?
How can you prove that you have managerial skills
Few more questions

4) Accenture Technical Interview Part & Questions:
First of all he asked me to introduce myself.
What do you do in your leisure time?
Favorite subjects?
Gave a program and asked questions like will it run or not, etc
Gave 20 seconds and asked me "sell yourself" Prepare for it.

Finally the statistics were:
Total 899 students appeared for the accenture campus recruitment or placement test.
266 candidates cleared the aptitude out of which 115 cleared the GD. Finally 41 were selected after the tech and hr interviews.
