The date for IIT JEE 2009 exam test is April 12, 2009 (Sunday) So it is to be held on the date 12th April, 2009 sunday.

The company has four centres in India at Pune, Noida, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

The package is low initially but they provide good 6 months training which can be helpful for your career. You also have to sign a bond.
I appeared in the Rapidigm placement paper and here i am giving the sample test question paper, Gd, hr and technical interview experience.

First part is the Written Aptitude test:

Its consists of 60 multiple choice questions to be done in 90 minutes.

The four sections of the Written test are:

Verbal Reasoning

Analytical Section

38 candidates pass through the GD out of 80. Interview part is equally tough and you have to show your skills in order to be selected. This is the second round i.e. is the interview. They took 20 minutes for the interview in all.

There were a total of 50 questions related to C and C++ language programs. The programs were given and you have to find out the output of the programs.

Next is the GD Round:

They count each round for determining the overall performance of the candidate. GD or Group discussion round is considered very important. There were 8 students in a group as in other IT placement papers. The topic given to us was, “Whom should be elected as President in the next president election?”

CSE - computer science engineering and IT B.tech students were eligible for the test and the cutoff was 60%. 16 persons were selected after the technical round and finally only 6 were taken by the company. Birlasoft India Sample Placement Paper for Third year - 3rd year students on 5th February at Bhopal.

There were 3 rounds in the birlasoft placement exam:

Written Test - multiple choice type
G.D - Group discussion
PI (Technical+HR Interview)

The birlasoft written multiple choice test was very easy. There were about 30 questions total. There were 15 questions from technical and aptitude each. The technical questions were from from Lan - Local area network, Wan - wide area network and sdlc (software development life cycle) etc. The aptitude questions topics were from average, mixture and ratio. There was total of 1500 candidates who took part in the birlasoft placement test out of which 170 cleared the exam.

In the group discussion GD round, the topics were Black colour, living relationship, man could have a baby and BPO.

60 candidates were selected for the interview. It was a combined Technical and HR Interview. The questions asked were:

Describe yourself
Why birlasoft?
What is operator overloading?
What do you mean by inheritance?
Distinguish between DBMS and RDBMS
Commands of ddl, dml, dcl & tcl command's.
What do you mean by multitasking
Define multithreading
Define encapsulation
Describe the software development cycle.

Finally 24 candidates were selected after the interview.

The selection process is as follows:

Aptitude test :
There are about 100 questions and the time allowed is 25 minutes.
There is no negative marking in the exam.
All the questions are quite easy. There are no tough questions in the aptitude written test.

Cadence Technical Test:
There are a total of 70 questions to be answered in 40 minutes time.
The subjects from which questions are asked are networks, OS - operating systems, RDBMS, C - C programming language, Apps(5 questons).
There are also some electronics engineering subjects based questions.

Cadence Group Discussion or GD Round:
They call a group of 10 students. See the GD guide for help and tips.
10 candidates were selected out of the 22 persons who cleared the technical test.

The technical interview took about 45 minutes. It was quite long.
The HR Interview was also a detailed one. It took another about 45 minutes.
Selection in CSC is not tough, but you should prepare good for the topics in the aptitude and tech written test first. After that you have to be ready for the technical interview. Be prepared about your project and favorite subjects atleast.

Iflex paper on 16th march at rohini, delhi.

There were around 2800 students from 35 colleges who appeared for the test.

509 candidates finally cleared the iflex software written exam consisting of mulitple choice questions.
There were 60 questions to be done in 60 minutes in the written test. There was a negative marking of .25 for every wrong answer. There were 50 total questions and the iflex question paper was divided into 5 sections.

There were two sections
1. Quantitative and Logical paper (40 questions)
This section consisted of questions from topics like blood relations, logical deductions, puzzle test, coding decoding, profit and loss, trains and boats problems, age problems etc

2. English(20 questions)
Next is the english section. This section is also very easy. It conatins questions like antonyms, synonyms, reading comprehension, articles, ordering the sentences etc.

The written test is very easy and you have to do the questions from R.S Aggarwal (quant, verbal and non verbal reasoning). You can also see the aztec previous papers and the sample placement test questions.

The questions are fine but you have to care a lot about time management in the paper.

There were 2 interviews Technical and HR

1.Technical Interview
Questions asked were:

Asked about my project (It was the only technical thing mentioned in the form filled)
Then he asked me to write a simple program on file handling using c++. I had mentioned about that in the resume.
Then he asked questions related to DBMS and asked to write queries of joins

2. I-flex HR Interview

I attended the campus placement exam of aztec software. The aptitude part was very easy. The questions were from topics like Puzzels, quantitatives, decition making, data interpretation, data sufficiency problem etc. and 1 program was there carrying 17 marks.

Aztec Placement Test Pattern:
There was 1 aptitude (60 minutes), a group discussion round GD, technical interview round (about half an hour) and finally an HR Round (minimum 10 minutes max 20 minutes)

The group discussion was also good. The gd topic was "Should there be any dress code for women in working places"
Other topics "Will you come back to India if you have been to America", etc.

The technical and hr interviews were a bit tough. You should have knowledge of technical topics like database, C, datastructure and the questions may be asked from geography, physics

The HR interview round was easy if you have done the other rounds well. This one is easy. Just the common hr questions are asked. Dont worry about it.

1) Aptitude test:
There were total 55 questions and the time allowed was 60 minutes. You also have to write an essay in the same sheet in 10 minutes.
There is no sectional cutoff nor any negative marking.

You must attempt all questions as they are not difficult. RS Aggarwal verbal, non verbal and quantitative are good.

The Aptitude test paper is divided into 3 sections:
1st section consists of 20 questions which are completely based on english language
Questions 1 - 10 : These are very easy and based on prepositions, fill in the blanks with correct articles and some other easier english part questions

Questions 11 - 20 :
questions 11 - 15 contains one comprehension followed by another comprehension from question 16 - 20. These are easy but sometimes these take more time for you.

HPCL is a premier Indian Government Petroleum marketing and refining company having thousands of petrol pumps and many refineries spread throughout India. I attended for HPCL written exam at test centre of Surana College, Bangalore. Here i am giving the written multiple choice test pattern of HPCL conducted on 2nd march 2008.

Intellectual Ability: Here also they given 40 questions, here they gave some series of figures and asked to find the next figure. Two statements are also given and asked to find the conclusion and find the correct statement. There were 40 questions from reasoning.

PART-II This is the Technical engineering subjects related section.
Here are the topics and sample test paper questions for the B.tech - BE electronics instrumentation branch
The topics were:
Control systems, microprocessors, op-amps, transducers, measurements, logic circuits and some from microcontrollers. They asked most of the questions from control systems - LCS and digital electronics - DE. These questions are also applicable for electrical engineering and some mechanical engineering tests.
All of the written test questions are multiple choice type / objective questions. So the total number of problems was 170 from 120 minutes time. Time management is very important for the hpcl test.

There were certain no of marbles with Ajay. He gave 1 to anita. Then gave the half of what was left to amita. Gave 1 to rati. Then 2/3 of what was left to sameer. Then half of what was left to sagar. He gave three to the beggar and was left with 1. What is the minimum number of marbles he had initially.

The entire paper had 3 written test sections. 1 section with 20 questions.
1 section was dedicated to aptitude questions. Based on a detailed paragraphs like
#) A,B,C,D,E,F are six friends living on a six storied building where lowest floor was the ground. All of them live in separate floors each not in the order given above. A is on the 3rd floor. D is always above A. The difference of floors between E and B is 3. B is below D.
Q) Who is on the 6th floor.
Q) How many different sets of living arrangements can we have based on above facts?Total ques in this section were also 20.
The next section was English which had 2 small passages and 2 questions each based on the pssage. There were

Hi. HCL Technologies came to our college for on campus recruitment of software engineers. There was no technical. Only aptitude was there. But it was tough and based on the Cat paper pattern. CAT based English and maths can be helpful. Some of the problems were like 6 six squares and filling prime nos 2,3,5,7,11,13, and asking there positions. Apart from that there were questions based on data interpretation.
A puzzle as six people are living in six cities riding each riding a different type of vehicle as car, scooter and 2 persons living in city will not ride a car and such. Apart from this we had questions on as 4 numbers (2 odd and 2 even) are multiplied with 2 even then what is difference between odd and even. Given a triangle where there are 5 angles with a small triangle on 1 side of larger triangle Ans:36 deg as (36*5=180)
Another question based on when a appears either b or c appears which is often a repeated question. That is all i remember.
After the aptitude, there was the HR Interview for those who cleared the hcl apti test. The questions they asked were simple and like:
1)Who is your role model?
2)Why do you want to join hcl?
3)Why does hcl needs to recruit you?
4)Are you prepared for relocation?
5)Tell me about yourself?
6)What are u xtra curricular activites?

Now total amount with 4 friends is 27 rupees only what are money with 4 friends? ans: 4,5,8,10

3. if f(x+1)=f(x)+10 then (f(7)-f(3))/((f(6)-f(2))=? ans:(-1)
You have to be thorough with the verbal and non verbal questions. The cat preparation material will surely help. There is mostly aptitude part. 35 questions are there and time is 60 mitutes. The interview is very easy. From my college out of 250 students, 112 are selected for interview and finally 95 are selected.

Here is the latest birlasoft india placement paper held on 28th of February. Here is the account of the paper.

It was a two day campus placement drive. First there was an aptitude test and GD.
In the Aptitude test, there were 50 questions. First 20-25 were technical. First three questions were on conversion from hexadecimal to octal, binary, etc. There were ques on dbms like what is denormalization, questions on java, c language, c++ These were simple questions. The quantitative questions were on alligation, speed and distance, profit and loss, probability, time and work.
Next were questions on English Language. Choose the wrong sentence, synonyms and associate the meanings with the phrases given. Cutoff for the paper was arnd 40.

Group Discussion Round: GD

Topics for gd were future of it industry in india, should ganguly be the captain of indian cricket team, shilpa shetty vs jade goody at big brother, love marriages vs arranged marriages, etc.

Next day there was first a ppt and then the hr cum technical interview:

Questions: Me being an ece student they asked me about the communication system, how does commnication happen, etc.
what are analog and digital signals, advantages of digital over analog - explain in layman's language, examples of where are we using these signals, some questions on optical fibres, their advantages. Then he asked some questions on C language then what are data structures, what is block, what is page statement, explain float

HR Questions:

How do you define success?

How many friends do you have?

What are your positives

Do you read newspaper?

Finally out of the 1600 students who appeared for the aptitude test 24 were finally selected.

Here is the Tech Mahindra Placement test paper held at mandya on 21st july 2008. Its the latest test paper.

Tech Mahindra visited our campus on 21st July 2008. Out of the 185 students, who were eligible for the test, 37 got short listed for the interviews and 19 got placed. The cutoff was 60% with one backlog allowed and it was only for CS, IS, EC and EE engineering b.tech departments.

The Selection Procedure:

Online Test: Written Multiple Choice Type Questions:

100 questions and the time was 60 minutes.

The questions were divided into 6 parts. Three of them were English sections. One was for non-verbal reasoning, one was for verbal reasoning and the other was of quantitative aptitude. There was a sectional cut off for all the sections.

First attempt the english section as it takes less time, then go for logical reasoning / aptitude sections questions.

2. Interviews:

There were 3 interviews for us:

HR cum technical interview, Technical interview and HR interview again.

In the first interview they asked simple questions like the stack concept, use of "%d", use of getch() and the command to drop a table in DBMS - database management systems. One popular question like "Why Tech mahindra?" Here quote some facts about TM company itself.

Technical interview: Asked questions from DBMS (favorite subject as written in resume), normalization, RDBMS, trigger and the use of null pointer.

Final Part - HR Interview:

The first question was "Tell me about your family in brief?"

The Question paper will have 5 parts with the following topics:

TANCET 2008 PART 1. To evaluate the candidate's ability to pick out critically the data and apply the data to business decisions from given typical business situations.

2-10 Questions - The questions were figure related. Find the correct figure in sequence.
11-15 Questions -
16-20Q --- The question was related to DI in which a table showing number of students in different branches during 6 years were given. Had to do some calucations and answer the questions. It was a bit time consuming.
21-25 Questions - Puzzle type. 5 people A,B,C,D,E ,F,Gand H are sitting around a table.
26-30 Questions - Syllogism type. 6 statements were given with four combination choices like BGD, BDG etc. Find the correct logical combination.

Just go through the RS Aggarwal book for logical, verbal and non verbal reasoning.

1 - There were two paragraphs.
2 - Questions on sentence correction. Had to find correct replacement for underlined part in passage.

Let me tell you important things to be prepared for the latest february 23rd 2008 Accenture placement paper.

It has 4 rounds:
1) Aptitude Test along with essay writing
2) GROUP DISCUSSION
3) TECHNICAL / HR Interview
4) HR / TECHNICAL INTERVEW.

1)APTITUDE TEST:
Questions = 55 ; Time limit provided is 60 minutes. Along with that an essay to write in the same sheet in another 10 minutes.
There is no sectional cut off , no negative marking.

The question paper is easy. Just RS Aggarwal is sufficient for the paper.

The Aptitude test paper is divided into 3 sections:
1st section : It consists of 20 questions which are completely based on english language.
Questions 1 - 10 : These are very easy. These are completely based on prepositions and fill in the blanks with correct articles. This pattern is just like other accenture (IT Companies) placement papers.

Questions 11 - 20 :
questions 11 - 15 contains one comprehension followed by another comprehension from questions 16 - 20

Do not read the whole paragraph. Just do skimming. (Study the reading techniques. You did it in Communication skills subject in B.tech any engineering brach)

2nd section : It consists of 20 questions which is based on quantitative questions as well as verbal and non verbal questions.
It contains questions from data sufficiency,venn diagrams ,time and work,percentage,time and distance, directions,blood relations and the most important topic LOGIC (syllogism) which is the first chapter of the second part of R.S.AGGARWAL (verbal & non-verbal

3rd section : It consists of 15 questions which is very easy, only the placement paper's puzzle questions are a bit difficult. But these are just like other placement paper puzzles questions. You can see solved Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture puzzle questions.

Q.41- Q.45 Mark the answers according to the following:
A- If all the three options match
B- If FIRST and SECOND options match
C- If FIRST and THIRD options match
D- If none of the three match

Q.46-Q.49 were based on the Puzzle-type question

Following was the criteria decided by the selection committee of Indian Cricket Board:
1) Player's age should be 18-28 years.

3) He must be a Ranji Player for at least 2 years.
4) He must have taken at least 20 wickets or made 1000 runs in a calendar year in Ranji.

For accenture emphasize more on verbal and non verbal rather than quantitative.

I think about 70% are from verbal & non verbal and 30% are from quantitative in comparision to these two.

After the completion of 60 minutes we were asked to write an essay in 10 minutes time and word limit was atleast 100 words and the topic was "US recession and its impact in the IT industry" There is nothing to worry about this essay. Just have few key points and it should be grammatically correct. It is rarely checked by the HR during the HR interview.

2) ACCENTURE GROUP DISCUSSION :
The topic was "liberalisation" Time limit was 10 minutes. 5 out of 12 were selected. They try to give time to everyone to speak clockwise. The group discussion round as discussed in other accenture placement papers here is not much difficult.

3) ACCENTURE HR INTERVIEW :
Questions were like: Tell me about yourself. What do you do in your leisure time. How can you prove that you have managerial skills. You have to be confident during your interview, have a smile on your face, maintain your eye contact with the HR. HR interview guide for you is here.

4) TECHNICAL INTERVIEW :
What are your favourite subjects. Gave me a program and asked whether this program will run or not. Then he told me that i am giving you 16 seconds. You have to sell yourself. ( How to sell urself: you have to be innovative in that. You cant repeat other persons's answer. You should show your confidence in yourself with good communication skills, Any reason which shows your appeal may be strengths, Your teamwork ability, Consistent work, etc.) Good self confidence and communication skills coupled with your skills are what you should tell when such a question is asked. Then he gave situation reaction test.

In situation reaction test they just want to see how good you are as a leader as well as a team member and how hard working , determined and confident you are.

Statistics: 899 total students appeared, 266 - aptitude round, 115 gd round, 41 shortlisted after technical , hr round. I am one of them.

GROUP DISCUSSION:
It was believed that group discussion or gd round is the toughest of all the rounds but i was not much tough really. The interviewers were nice guys. The topic for the group discussion was Reservation. Yes, reservation should be there but not on the basis of religion or caste, it must be on the basis of economic condition. Just dont be too much aggressive. Be cooperative and show team work ability. Good communication skills are important of course.

If u got placed in An interview of a reputed IT or software, etc multinational and did not recieve the appointment letter or reply yet, you may consider taking one of the following steps.First of all the steps would depend on whether you got placed in college or in walkin interview. If u got placed in college placement, then there is no need to worry. All companies will honour college placements. If they dont, simply send them an email threatening to submit the news to a leading newspaper or trying them in court for compensation.You may consider submitting the Company's bad habits of not appointing you or sending formal appointment article to a leading newspaper or news channel. This will surely help you one way or the other. ( These are the views of some students who really threatened to do it and successfully persuaded the company to instate them in the promised job position. )Otherwise you may go to a company campus anywhere in india and ask them in person. You may be informed by the database. The employee and freshers database is accessible by the Managers at the company and you will be told about your position. Otherwise you can also try them in court if they turn you down in an unlawful manner. The labour laws are quite strong. You may also consider contacting the labour commissioner or the concerned government official.If the case if of the college placement, then u can contact the principal ( in person or go along with college union's leader )and ask him politely to get your case sorted by initiating communication with the company. 2 marks questions were tough rather time consuming. It was based on time & work, train, water stream and age problem.

5 marks question were based on c language. Flow chart & programs were given. You have to find output. It is again time consuming.

Advice:- Start solving 5 marks questions first. R.S. Aggarwal is enough for the placement paper questions like reasoning questions, aptitude, verbal, etc. for perot systems. Even for puzzles asked in the technical or hr interview.

English test:-
Its quite easy. Fill in the blanks mulitple choice questions. Just little practise is required for these.

32 candidates out of 680 cleared it.

Technical Interview:- It was brain teasing and difficult too. Have your subject basics clear. I would suggest that you prepare one relevant subject before the interview. Average time taken is around 45 minutes for each candidate.

C and C++ Programming interview questions asked :- What are structures in C? What is OOP in C++? Inheritance in C or C++? Construction & explanation of JFET, CMOS, MOSFET etc ? All these are basic questions and many are repeated. Some candidates were asked to write some basic c language programs. Others were asked logical puzzles and electronics circuit diagrams.

HR interview:- Its tiring. 3 people were interviewing around 45 minutes each candidate. Is it possible to have different access modifiers on the get/set methods of a property? - No. The access modifier on a property applies to both its get and set accessors. What you need to do if you want them to be different is make the property read-only (by only providing a get accessor) and create a private/internal set method that is separate from the property.
Is it possible to have a static indexer in C#? - No. Static indexers are not allowed in C#.

Class instances often encapsulate control over resources that are not managed by the runtime, such as window handles (HWND), database connections, and so on. Therefore, you should provide both an explicit and an implicit way to free those resources. Provide implicit control by implementing the protected Finalize Method on an object (destructor syntax in C# and the Managed Extensions for C++). The garbage collector calls this method at some point after there are no longer any valid references to the object.
In some cases, you might want to provide programmers using an object with the ability to explicitly release these external resources before the garbage collector frees the object. If an external resource is scarce or expensive, better performance can be achieved if the programmer explicitly releases resources when they are no longer being used. To provide explicit control, implement the Dispose method provided by the IDisposable Interface. The consumer of the object should call this method when it is done using the object. Dispose can be called even if other references to the object are alive.
